2. How do I make my online booking?
All properties, prices and availability are published online and updated in www.familyguest.com.
The steps to make an online booking are the following: 1. Family house search: In the search engine choose the country and city you want to visit. Select the check in and check out dates and click the search button. The system will automatically display all available properties in the country and city selected during that period.
2. Select: Select any property to access more detailed information. Each property has a microsite where you can visualize all its features, see pictures, info about the family, maps, location, videos and links to visual guides of the city and neighbourhood as well as important traveller information of each location.
3. Book: Select the rooms you wish and click the book button. Remember that this booking will be made for the period of time you selected at the beginning of your search. Insert your personal information and credit card details in the confirmation form. All bookings must me made using a valid credit card.
4. Confirm your booking: Click the confirm button. The transaction will be made through Pay Pal guaranteeing the highest security standards. Familyguest will never have access to your financial information. For more information please read our security policy. When your booking is confirmed a confirmation page will be shown.
5. Vouchers: A voucher will be sent to your e-mail address with all the details of your booking as well as the complete contact information of the house. The voucher must be presented to the house owner when you check in. Some consular authorities may request this voucher as a confirmation when you are applying for a visa.
3. Are there any booking fees?
Familyguest.com doesn’t charge any booking fee. You will only have to pay online the 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation. The remaining balance will be paid to the house upon arrival.
4. Do I need to be a Pay Pal registered member to pay online?
You don’t have to be registered to Pay Pal to make the online transaction. You may choose to pay online using Pay Pal without registering.
5. Do I need to be a Familyguest.com registered member to make
bookings?
No you don’t. You automatically become a member when you enter your personal info when making the reservation. This information will only be used for booking purposes.
6. How do I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking by login in www.familyguest.com using your user name and password. Insert your booking reference number to display all the booking information and cancel.
8. What happens in case of no show?
Momentarely familyguest.com doesn’t charge any penalties in case of no show. We ask all travellers to understand that family houses are not big hotels. In many cases, this is the only income they have. Therefore, we ask for your respect and cancel your booking at least 48hrs before your arrival so that the house owners can reallocate their rooms.
9. Can I change my booking?
Of course you can. Contact the property to inform about any changes in your booking. Please notice that all changes will be made according to the house’s availability.
10. Are there any restrictions to book?
Some properties may have some restrictions regarding age or sex. All restrictions are published in the house’s microsite so that you are informed before making a reservation.
